Better Than OEM – Worth the Upgrade

Does the job, economical and a perfect fit

Bought exactly 1 year ago for 3rd Gen Tundra. So far, it really does the job. At first I didn’t realize how awesome it was until I had to remove and clean it yesterday. Although I keep my truck immaculate inside and out, after 1 years use, the filter had become extremely filthy and the air had an old mildew, vomit, stank smell. When clean and set for fresh air, I can only faintly notice diesel exhaust smells from those in front of me. I also notice little to no dust accumulation on my dash and flat surfaces. In my opinion the K&N cabin filter kit is an essential tool for cleaning this filter. K&N made the filter, so I would imagine that they know how to clean and refresh it properly. By the way, refresh solution is nearly fragrance free. I bought the refresh kit at a big box auto supply and it came in a mostly black box instead of the white box as sold on here. Don’t know if that means the formulation has changed or not.
